Trophy Residential Properties

Congratulations to Scott Athmer on being among Trophy Properties and Auction’s TOP PRODUCERS! Scott ranked #5 in 2020.

Scott is hardworking, knowledgeable, and loyal with a history and passion for hunting and farming. After nearly 20 years in law enforcement, Scott has rededicated his attention to his love for the outdoors. This has allowed him to combine his passion for helping people with his need to be outside. He looks forward to helping you whether you are selling or trying to attain your dream of owning your own piece of recreational or hunting land, farmland, or a home.

Scott grew up hunting and fishing in rural Clinton County. After serving 3 years in the Army, he returned home and began his successful career in law enforcement while obtaining his graduate degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2007 in Public Administration. During his career, he served as a patrolman, detective, sergeant, and spent over 10 years with the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis serving as both an investigator and supervisor. Looking beyond his law enforcement career Scott obtained his real estate license in 2018, hoping to combine his love for the outdoors and his need to assist people.

In 2001, Scott also started as a field producer with Outdoor TV. He has worked with many landowners over the years assisting them in setting up management plans for the property. His family purchased this first recreational farm in 2005. Scott has enjoyed spending time there with his dad improving the farm and has been blessed to watch both of his children take their first deer there!

Scott’s background in farming goes back to his childhood. Although his immediate family didn’t farm, he spent countless hours assisting his uncle at the family farm, worked on a dairy farm through high school, and learned to appreciate a hard day’s work. After he and his wife Heather were married, he worked on her family farm with his father-in-law until he retired.

Scott and Heather have two children, Abby Jo and Joshua. He is very active in his church and community. He enjoys spending time coaching his kids in their various sports as well as serving as a range safety officer for the Highland High School Trap Team.

"Scott Athmer with Trophy Properties was absolutely amazing! He was professional and personal all at the same time. My wife and I were looking for the perfect piece of land to build our forever home, and Scott found that for us. His knowledge of hunting, farming, and forestry makes him the ideal realtor to talk about land. I appreciate his honesty and expertise in this area since we were buying with quite a bit of trees and uneven terrain; he helped us envision where our house would go and which trees were worth saving, how even to shape the land. It made my wife and I see where we could raise our family and call our home. One of the best realtors I've ever worked with. We did not feel pressured at all, and he let us take our time to decide if the land was right for us. Scott was always available and willing to meet with us even after our work schedules. He made the process of buying land extremely easy. I would highly recommend Scott if you are looking for your dream home/land!"
