Dan is hardworking, knowledgeable, and caring with an extensive history and passion for conservation, agriculture, family, and the outdoors. After nearly 24 years in conservation law enforcement, Dan has embarked on his second career connecting people with home and land ownership where families can make lasting memories. He looks forward to helping people solve problems whether it’s selling or buying property to improve their lives.

Dan’s Background
Dan grew up hunting and fishing in South Central Kansas. After graduating from Pratt High School, he paid his way through college while working for the Iuka COOP and as a park ranger for the US Army Corps of Engineers at Wilson Reservoir earning bachelor’s degrees from Bethany College and Emporia State University along the way.

After college, Dan’s career in conservation included serving as a Wildlife Biologist Technician in Dodge City assigned to the NRCS office working with landowners to improve habitat with the CRP and WRP programs. In 1997 he promoted to Game Warden in Greenwood and Elk County. During this time, he enjoyed working with landowners to protect both wildlife resources and their properties from poachers. As a Game Warden, he founded a 501c3 that raised funds supporting Big Brother / Big Sisters youth hunts on local ranches.

Additional Information
Dan remains involved with community organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, United Way, American Red Cross, and Special Olympics Kansas. He currently resides in rural Douglas County with his wife Danelle and their son Brooks. He is engaged with youth sports activities, hunting, fishing, and camping with family, and is looking forward to working with people to find the property of their dreams.
